Vista Tour de Shore

The rides will have routes with plenty of beautiful Connecticut back roads and shoreline views. The ride will start and end in the Westbrook Center behind the John Riggio Building (see directions on home page). All riders will receive cue sheets and can choose either the 60, 40 or 25 mile. The FUN ride is a 1 mile loop around Westbrook led by Vista staff. Please bring simple repair tools, tubes, and patch kits for your ride during the event.

"What a fun ride that was! We started at the Vista residence in Westbrook Center around 9:30 am and immediately peeled off into at least two groups. My wife and I were in the slightly less ambitious group and traced a course around Westbrook, Saybrook, Saybrook Point including Fenwick, up into Centerbrook, Ivoryton (if memory serves me right) and enjoyed the benefit of several stops with a sag-wagon loaded with snacks. Our group was around twenty riders give or take a few, and the trip in all was around thirty miles—the other group did more.

At the conclusion of the ride, we all reconvened at the Firehouse for a wonderful barbecue, which we loved—we probably would have eaten cardboard at that point. Hotdogs, hamburgs, all the fixings, a beautiful blue jerseys for the participants. A great day with fine weather and great companions. I would do it again for sure!"
